Would be a wonderful beer garden, but the "admission controls" take up a lot of ambience

Beer garden with old chestnut trees. Beer prices fully ok, also the selection. Kässpätzle unfortunately almost cold. The portion will keep you full.

Technically views and because of the atmosphere of one of the greatest beer gardens, there is probably. Great selection of very good food (so many others can take a look at it 😉) and the typical drinks. It's just a shame that you can't make reservations online from 1730 on Sundays, even though it's open until 2000.

Everything is great, can be recommended. In contrast to the special cellar, you can also get something good to eat and drink here, as you can get it yourself and don't have to hope for good-natured service.

A nice cellar (for non-residents: (traditional) beer garden, so you CAN bring your own food, but drinks must be bought on site; no on-site service), which is well filled despite the Corona. The staff is unfortunately stressed and, if you haven't made a reservation, a bit unwelcoming. The organization regarding Corona is ok. The place has everything you would expect: good beer, reasonable food, fair prices and plenty of trees

Classic, cozy beer garden above Bamberg. Very good beer and good food. Unfortunately, food sales sometimes reach their limits at peak times.

The location is nice, but the food is not very convincing. The currywurst wasn't very convincing and the fries were old and sloppy. The swing would have to be oiled again, the loud squeaking could be heard even from a distance.

Very nice beer garden. Especially pleasant on hot days due to the many trees. Food and drinks are great.

The beer is good. The crust roast consisted of 2/3 fat, indescribable! The "Leberkäse" my wife had was also the worst I have ever tried and was warmed up in frit fat. Conclusion, as usual in the cellar, it is essential to bring your own food.

Very nice, relaxed location and easily accessible by bike. However, one should not visit the cellar in a slightly stronger wind as a lot of scrub falls from the trees. All in all recommendable

The Wild Rose Keller is located on the highest point in Bamberg. The facility is very nice. You can bring your own food and drink, but you can also taste delicious beers on tap and food from the kitchen. With over 800 seats outdoors, the Wild Rose Keller is the largest in Bamberg. Under old trees, even very hot weather can withstand very well. The prices are okay. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Again, you should definitely come here in the summer, it's really worth it.

Great ambience and beer

Great place. Bit of a hill to climb to get to it, but it’s worth it. Only opens for restricted times, and at certain times of the year, so check before you make the pilgrimage. An undefined brewer supplies very good beer and although I didn’t eat here, the food being offered looked delicious. All selbsbedienung (self service) and well worth a visit!

A very traditional beer cellar, fantastic beer, and a great place to meet locals.

Very nice basement with a large playground, delicious drinks, large car park, and covered seating. It looks like you could bring your own food here. Always worth a visit. Many old beautiful chestnuts!

Don't believe the times they say that they are open, I've made two visits only to find out that they were closed

The "Wild Rose" cellar is a beautiful place to enjoy this great atmosphere in glorious weather. Surrounded by trees, visitors can enjoy drinks and tasty food at reasonable prices and enjoy themselves - ample free parking is provided.

Perfect for meeting with friends while drinking delicious beer

The best Biergarten in town! They have extremely tasty beer -- their own Kellerbier, the Bamberg specialty Rauchbier, and Weissbier -- as well as many other good things. They also have live music regularly, and being a part of one of the bands that come here every year, I have to say that all the people I meet at the place are always very friendly and hospitable.

A big but still kind of cozy keller with german food and excellent lager

Spacious Biergarten with plenty of shade for a hot summer day. Their beer is very good. I didn't try the food. The deposit on the beer mug was not a problem and was very easy to get back. A Biergarten in Würzburg also charged a deposit so this may be becoming a necessary practice.

Acceptable, but the policy to ask for deposits for the beer 🍻 mug is simply said a silly cost cutting idiocy, against tradition and counter productive in job creation as well as inconveniencing paying customers, thanks but no thanks...

Typical bavarian Keller with plenty of space for more than 200 people. A must visit in Bamberg i guess :)

Great location with delicious Bavarian food

A really atmospheric Bierkeller up the hill in Bamberg with leafy trees and a nice old wooden fixtures. It's not a brewery but they have a few beers contract brewed for them, as well as a few city favorites. Food looks good and fairly priced. If you are going to the nearby Spezial Keller, you should check this one out, too.

Location is great, on a small hill and the beer is nice..

Wonderfull experience. Although very busy the service is always good organised. Sometimes it comes across a bit unpolite but this is german efficiency. All in all we had a wonderfull evening and would recommend the Wilde Rose Keller without any doubt. Robert and Olivia Troost, New Zealand.
